Abstract

This paper explores the intersection of tradition and modernity in the realm of contemporary
Indian visual arts. In the age of globalization, Indian artists are blending historical cultural
expressions with modern techniques, challenging both artistic boundaries and socio-political
narratives. The paper examines key developments in the visual arts scene, focusing on the
evolving roles of indigenous forms, the influence of global trends, and the impact of technology
on the creation and dissemination of art. By analyzing case studies and theoretical frameworks,
this study underscores the dynamic ways in which Indian artists negotiate their cultural heritage
while engaging with global contemporary movements.
